In this role, she oversees the underwriting group for all multifamily affordable transactions financed under the Fannie Mae DUS program and is responsible for credit policy, loan approvals, and training staff on existing and new products. She has a small group of personnel reporting to her, including analysts, processors and underwriters. She is also responsible for agency credit review of transactions financed under the Red Stone program. She is located in McLean, Virginia. Michele has 20 years of real estate experience, 12 of which has been in the finance sector, approximately 7 years in affordable housing. Her experience includes appraisal and market feasibility, as well as conventional and affordable housing finance, and commercial real estate lending. Michele started her career in finance in the multifamily sector, most notably with WMF prior to moving into conduit lending at Amresco, then a short tenure in the Fannie Mae home office, and returned to Prudential in January 2001. The first quarter of her career was in commercial appraisal and feasibility analysis of office, retail, multifamily, vacant land, and industrial properties. Her primary experience in this area was gained at Delta Associates and Arthur Anderson in the D.C. area. Michele earned her Bachelor’s degree from William Paterson University in New Jersey and moved to the United States from the United Kingdom in 1980 where she was born and raised.
